If you have cancer, it means some of your body’s cells are growing or have grown uncontrollably and these could also spread to other parts of the body. Cancer can present itself in mild symptoms too, which could be mistaken or dismissed as signs of something not-so-serious.
Such was the case with Michael Miller, 43, whose cancer began showing with cold-like symptoms, which he did not take seriously.
“It all started with fever and chills, but it always went away so I ignored it. Then my back started hurting. I went to a chiropractor, which helped initially. Then about a week later, I collapsed on the living room floor because the back pain was so severe,” Miller shared his symptoms, as reported in a case study published on the health platform UVAHealth.
