Chandigarh: Chaudhary Devi Lal University (CDLU), Sirsa will introduce an Integrated Teacher Education Program Starting from the academic session 2023-24. With the introduction of this integrated program in the university, 10+2 pass students will be able to become direct university students.
Sharing the details, Professor Ajmer Singh Malik, Vice-chancellor of the university, said that communication has been received from the National Council for Teacher Education for 100 seats of the four-year Bachelor of Education, Integrated Teacher Education Program. out of 100 seats, 50 seats will be reserved for the students of the Arts Faculty and 50 seats will be reserved for the students of the Science Faculty.
He added that this program will be completely in accordance with NEP-2020. Through this program, specialized training will be provided by the university to the youth who want to make employment in teaching. Students taking admission in this program B.A. B.Ed. and B.Sc. B.Ed. degree in just four years instead of five years. Four-Year B.A. B.Ed. and B.Sc. B.Ed. Admission to the course will be through the entrance test conducted by the National Testing Agency only. The admissions would be held through the NTA portal.
